Available Adults

I currently have a 4 year old male that is available. "Jake" yes from State Farm is from our Moyo x Zara litter that was born on September 3, 2020. 

Jake was sold as a show prospect to a busy family in the Houston area.   Due to some changes in the family dynamic, Jake has come to live with me for the last 6 weeks. His original  family has gone through some family changes with 3 busy kids which has put a strain on Jakes happiness in the household. 

Jake has been an excellent houseguest and overall great dog. He has integrated well into my pack and I found it prudent to give him some solid time here for a reasonable evaluation to see what kind of home he would fit into. You can definitely tell he was raised with kids and an elderly ridgeback as he is a busy body and loves to be with the people. He has a few old man tendencies which is enduring.  He plays well with both male and female dogs in a nice gentle manner, he likes to be under my feet when I work out and likes to piddle with me out in the yard. He was a little clingy at first and will definitely latch onto a new person fairly quickly as he likes cuddles and being focused on. He especially likes women as his primary person was the wife in the family he was in. He likes other dogs and has even gotten along well with small puppies. He does not appear to have any bad habits like counter surfing or destructive chewing, digging ect. He crates well even for long periods of time but does whine a little when he feels like he has been left out as sometimes I have to rotate dogs. Jake was raised with another senior male RR. 

Jake is currently fully vetted and has been altered and he also had a dental cleaning while he is under. He has always been maintained and up to date on vaccinations, heart worm meds etc.  He is a big boy (leggy), weighing in at about 96lbs and is at a healthy weight. He is better than most with nail dremmeling, soft mouthed. He is more interested in playing and interacting with humans than toys and he actually has quite a bit of extensive training so he walks nice on a leash and has lots of tricks and skills.  He is also good with the resident cat. 

He greets strangers well and loves to be included for social events. He is also appropriately alert with things outside/inside of the house but there is no nuisance barking. Also on an energy level scale, Jake is about a 4 so medium to low-ish energy. He does not require a lot of exercise and as a matter of fact my pack blows him out of the water athleticism wise. He tries to keep up and yes I realize my group is fit by standard and he came from a normal home and was a city dog LOL. 

If you are interested in meeting this boy let me know.  He comes from health tested parents, vet records, already neutered and teeth cleaned so he will not need any vetting for a while. He is currently on a Salmon based diet (Purina Pro-Plan and/or Costcos Natures Domain Salmon/Sweet Potatoe formula) for what is a suspected light food sensitivity to chicken. Basically his ears get itchy with chicken based diets and he has maintained with no issues on this diet. I will also transfer registration papers and microchip over.  I am open to talking about a placement fee.
